Alright a little bit of update on the novel I am working on…
So I am still busy working on the first book of the Winged series. I’ve finished writing the rough draft of the whole thing a couple of weeks ago and have begun on editing it after reading the whole thing and finding some plot-holes and a little bit of inconsistencies here and there. It would probably take a longer time for the manuscript to finally be completed considering that the drafts would be under constant revisions until I find the story to be as perfect as possible.
Of course, editing cannot be rushed–and the same goes for preparing the manuscript–and so I am being extremely careful in what I am doing. After this round of editing, I will read the whole thing again and see if it is good enough to be read by a select group of people who will then help me by giving me their views on how the plot is and if there are a little bit of inconsistencies that I would otherwise have failed to see.
Having said that, I will require a handful of people who will get a chance to read the book before it gets published and who will help me by giving constructive criticisms. I am not sure how I will select these people but there will be a selection process. After all, I cannot simply let anyone touch, see, and read the manuscripts.
Depending on what happens during that time, I will either need to revise the draft once more or have it professionally proofread at CreateSpace. And, after that, I will need to work on turning the draft into an acceptable standard for a manuscript. It still is quite a long ways away but I am enjoying myself.
I have to say, though, the story had changed a bit since it was first conceptualized and the synopsis I have posted on my NaNoWriMo page as well as my Original Works page in my blog may no longer be updated. I will update them at a later time when my schedule isn’t as hectic as it is now.
Anyways, I am pretty excited with this novel and I sure do hope that you guys are too.
I have also decided to try and create another set of front covers for the novel. The first batch featured the heroine, Freya while the second batch of front covers would feature the main character of the story, Gabriel. Of course, there is also another cover I’m working on where the two of them are present. Note that the covers are not exactly what would appear on the book once it is published. These covers are merely placeholders until the actual cover is released.
