Day 1: Stand Out

What’s the best way to get the grogginess out of one’s system so early in the morning when one is forced out of bed after only sleeping for–oh, I don’t know–4 or 5 hours?  Music.  Rocking Music.  And no.  I am not talking about my own experience for today.

For the first day of the hundred-day music series, we have Mitchel Musso’s rendition of a song from Disney’s A Goofy Movie which is entitled: “Stand Out“.

Before you go on saying that it’s such a childish choice, let me tell you that it’s not.  The lyrics is actually pretty damn good and, unlike most of the songs we hear nowadays, it actually has a positive message.  Sure, the purpose of the song (in the movie) was for Max to sing it to that “girl” he’s crushing on but, if you look at the lyrics you’d be able to see why I love the song…not to mention that Mitchel Musso did a pretty dang good job with it.  Of course, that’s just my two cents.  There are a lot of hardcore Disney fans (yes, believe it or not there are) who did not find Mitchel’s rendition good…at all.

This song is compiled along with a couple of other Disney renditions on the 7th volume of Disney Mania.
