Day 18: Sing

Do I need to do the “Hurrah! It’s Friday again!” dance?  Well, I’ll do the dance but I won’t go and upload a video about me dancing like there’s no tomorrow just because it is my most favorite day of the week (after Saturday) since this is the 100 songs challenge and not the dance challenge. XD

Anyways, for today’s video I decided to go with My Chemical Romance’s “Sing” (now available on iTunes) because it’s the first song (after Scotty’s “The River”) that I heard as soon as I got up and told my mom: “5 more minutes!…*yawn*”

I am really a sucker for good lyrics to a song regardless of who sang it.  As long as the music portrays a story and isn’t vulgar and is pleasing to the ears, then I would (most probably) fall in love with the song.  My Chemical Romance’s “Sing” is one such song.

I guess the song says so much of why I instantly loved this song and wished to share this with people.  Yeah, I know…I’m feeling a little bit lazy right now in explaining what could easily be found on the lyrics of the song but the gist of it is that music bridges the gap, music lets us express ourselves.  It is a form of speech, a form of freedom–one that we mustn’t abuse (like every single form of freedom there is). Once again, that’s just my thoughts on this song.  I don’t know what you guys think about it or what you can reflect from it.  To each his (or her) own is what I say.

Anyways, below are the lyrics to the song.  Until the next post, dream on; fly on!

Sing it out
Boy you’ve got to see what tomorrow brings
Sing it out
Girl you’ve got to be what tomorrow needs
For every time that they want to count you out
And use your voice every single time you open up your mouth

Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart
Sing it ’til you’re nuts
Sing it out for the ones that’ll hate your guts
Sing it for the deaf
Sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world

Sing it out
Boy they’re gonna sell what tomorrow means
Sing it out
Girl they’re gonna kill what tomorrow brings
You’ve got to, make a choice if the music drowns you out
And raise your voice every single time they try and shut your mouth

Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart
Sing it ’til you’re nuts
Sing it out for the ones that’ll hate your guts
Sing it for the deaf
Sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world

Cleaned-up, corporation progress
Dying in the process
Children that can talk about it
Living on the webways,
People moving sideways
Sell it ‘til your last days
Buy yourself the motivation
Generation nothing,
Nothing but a dead scene
Product of a white dream
I am not the singer that you wanted?, but a dancer
I refuse to answer, talk about the past, sir
Wrote it for the ones who want to get away

Keep running

Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart
Sing it ’til you’re nuts
Sing it out for the ones that’ll hate your guts
Sing it for the deaf
Sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world

We’ve got to see what tomorrow brings
Sing it for the world
Sing it for the world
Girl you got to be what tomorrow needs
Sing it for the world
Sing it for the world

There is nothing more that I enjoy doing than reading books and writing. I'm kind of a nerd like that, XD. I have been writing for 7 years and am the author of the YA novel "Winged: The Awakening" and "Winged: The Unraveling". Also, a YouTuber dealing with video games and gaming.
