Day 21: Bleed Red

I don’t really get why some people are racists.

Why they believe that their race, their color, is better.  Why does that even matter?

I suppose that it what I was thinking when I first heard this song and it seemed that this song embodies what it should be that we are thinking about.  We shouldn’t be thinking about what sets us apart from the other races, whether we are Asians, Black, White, Caucasians, Mexicans, or whatever.  There aren’t that many things that sets us apart.  There are actually more things that makes us all the same, makes us all equal.

For the twenty-first day of the hundred music challenge, I have chosen a song by Ronnie Dunn entitled: Bleed Red.  And no, I didn’t choose this song because it has something to do with blood and that I am currently on a vampire novel reading spree.  No, I chose this song because it is a beautiful song and one that I wouldn’t have heard if I didn’t go on ahead and previewed the song on the Top 100 Billboard.

This song is so beautiful and it speaks in a way that makes you wonder why there are racists, why there are wars, why there is that “crab” mentality in the first place.  It makes you wonder that, if humans are really smart, why they are acting so dumb at times that they would hurt, kill, and make others of their kind feel insecure, small, and un-welcomed.

I don’t suppose I need to elaborate on what the lyrics means because it is pretty self-explanatory and it does speak for itself.  Anyways, you can download this song and buy it on iTunes.

Below are the lyrics to the song.  Until the next post, dream on; fly on!

Let’s say we’re sorry before it’s too late
Give forgiveness a chance
Turn anger into water
Let it slip through our hands

We all bleed red, we all taste rain
All fall down, lose our way
We all say words we regret
We all cry tears, we all bleed red

If we’re fighting, we’re both losing
We’re just wasting our time
Because my scars, they’re your scars
And your world is mine
You and I

We all bleed red, we all taste rain
All fall down, lose our way
We all say words we regret
We all cry tears, we all bleed red

Sometimes we’re strong, sometimes we’re weak
Sometimes we’re hurt, and it cuts deep
We live this life breath to breath
We’re all the same, we all bleed red

Let’s say we’re sorry befor it’s too late

We all bleed red, we all taste rain
All fall down, lose our way
We all say words we regret
We all cry tears, we all bleed red

Sometimes we’re strong, sometimes we’re weak
Sometimes we’re hurt, it cuts deep
We’re all the same, we all bleed red

There is nothing more that I enjoy doing than reading books and writing. I'm kind of a nerd like that, XD. I have been writing for 7 years and am the author of the YA novel "Winged: The Awakening" and "Winged: The Unraveling". Also, a YouTuber dealing with video games and gaming.
