Day 90: Flat On The Floor

I didn’t notice that we are ten days short (well, 9 if you count today as a one-down) of completing our hundred day challenge.  I’m so happy!

Of course, today we’re going to Manila…which makes me glad that Wordpres has this feature to have automatic posts.  My sister is also going to start her 6-month long review tomorrow, which is why she’s going to be living in Manila along with her friends for those long six months.

Anyways, I don’t plan to get sappy just because of that.  It’s not like I can’t see my sister whenever I want.  Besides, she’s going to do great there…that is why instead of going with a ballad for today’s song, I decided to continue going country and choosing a Carrie Underwood song.

This song is entitled Flat On The Floor.  And it’s still a continuation of my previous posts.  Like the previous post, I have my own interpretation of this song that is the same as the Uprising-one that I had made a couple of days back.  For me, this song is more of a rebel-esque type of song instead of those sappy songs people who are heartbroken usually sing.  And because of that…I find myself liking this song.  Of course, being that this song is sung by my all-time favorite Carrie Underwood also adds reason.

Anyways, I will provide a more detailed post later (or tomorrow, or some day soon) about this whole BS I’m dealing with right now.  For now, enjoy a little bit of Carrie and a little bit of Country.

Until the next post, dream on; fly on!

I’m flat on the floor with my head down low
Where the sky can’t rain on me anymore
Don’t knock on my door ’cause I won’t come
I’m hidin’ from the storm ’til the damage is done

Baby, baby, baby, baby
Tell me why
You gotta make me, make me
Make me, make me, make me cry, oh Lord
If I told you once
I told you a thousand times
You can’t knock me off my feet
When I’m already on my knees

I’m flat on the floor with my head down low
Where the sky can’t rain on me anymore
Don’t knock on my door ’cause I won’t come
I’m hidin’ from the storm ’til the damage is done

Baby, baby, baby, baby
Tell me how
You think you’re gonna live without my love now
I don’t know why you gotta keep comin’ around
Creepin’ up my street
oh boy, you can’t bother me

Now I’m flat on the floor with my head down low
Where the sky can’t rain on me anymore
Don’t knock on my door ’cause I won’t come
I’m hidin’ from the storm ’til the damage is done

You ain’t gonna get to me tonight
I’ll lay right here till it all rolls through
I ain’t gonna raise my body
Till there ain’t no sign
Till there ain’t no sign
Till there ain’t no sign of you

Cause I’m flat on the floor with my head down low
Where the sky can’t rain on me anymore
Don’t knock on my door ’cause I won’t come
I’m hidin’ from the storm ’til the damage is

Oh I’m flat on the floor with my head down low
Where the sky can’t rain on me anymore
Don’t knock on my door ’cause I won’t come
I’m hidin’ from the storm ’til the damage is

No I’m flat on the floor with my head down low
Where the sky can’t rain on me anymore
Don’t knock on my door ’cause I won’t come
I’m hidin’ from the storm ’til the damage is done

Ohhh

Dont.
Knock.
On my door

I’m hidin’ from the storm ’til the damage is done

There is nothing more that I enjoy doing than reading books and writing. I'm kind of a nerd like that, XD. I have been writing for 7 years and am the author of the YA novel "Winged: The Awakening" and "Winged: The Unraveling". Also, a YouTuber dealing with video games and gaming.
