Day 95: Someone Like You

It’s Friday and the ninety-fifth day of the 100 Days of Music challenge and I couldn’t be even more happier.  Why?  Because today is Friday and tomorrow is less than twenty-four hours away!  Saturday is the best day of the week (for me, at least! XD)!

Anyways, what do I have in-store for the ninety-fifth day of the challenge?  Well, I was rummaging through my collection of songs, wondering what song I haven’t posted yet and being all sentimental with all the trip-down-memory-lane-thing and then, lo-and-behold-I found my missing folder!

Well…it’s not really “missing”…I just sort of forgot that I have another music folder and when I opened said folder, what do I see first?  A folder reserved for Panic! At the Disco. I have totally forgotten about it…And that is why I have decided to finally get around in doing a damn list of all the music, movie, and game files on my computer…only, I plan on doing it tomorrow (yeah…don’t say it!  I know!)  Not only was Panic!  At the Disco there but also a folder for Parachute…and Paramore…and a bunch of JPOP songs that I haven’t listened to in, like, forever.

But, if you think this post is going to be about a song from Panic!  At the Disco…then I have fooled you!  Yeah, the ninety-fifth day is reserved for another artist…err, group.  Because, seriously, I did say that I was taking a trip down memory lane (don’t believe me?  Read the second paragraph!).  So, yeah…I’m going to go ahead and dive into the world of cheesiness.

Do you guys know “The Summer Set“?  No, it’s not a package deal of everything-related-to-summer-that-you-can-bring-to-the-beach.  The Summer Set is a name of a pop-punk group…from Scottsdale, Arizona.  Anyways, I won’t go into the whole detail-thing and tell you a lot about this bad like the name of their members (Brian Dales for vocals, Jess Bowen in drums, John Gomez does the guitar, piano, back-up vocals, Stephen Gomez works on the bass, and Josh Montgomery on guitar), or that their discography consists of Love The Love You Have, ...In Color, Meet Me On The Left Coast, Love Like This, Love Like Swift, and Everything’s Fine.  No, I won’t tell you guys about that since you can just go on ahead and learn all about that by making use of the most powerful thing in the world…next to the Force (Star Wars reference for you there)…which is Google.

Well, for today, I decided to go ahead and post a song from The Summer Set.  It’s called Someone Like You.

I call it cheesy because…well, it is.  But it’s the kind of cheesiness that I can stomach…and that I do wish about..well, sometimes. XD  But, yeah…girls usually wish for this kind of guy.  You know, the kind of guy who sees you for who you are and who thinks you’re the most beautiful thing in the world even if your mascara is running, or your not wearing your best dress, or you’re just being wild. Something like that.

And for someone to say that they would cross the ocean for you…and actually mean it?  Well, I wonder who had a sort of movie-like thing like that had happened to them.  Is it as “swoon worthy” and as grand as how we see it on most of the chick flicks and chick lits out there?  *sigh* I…would not know the answer to that. XD

But, anyways, below are the lyrics to this song which you can (surprise, surprise) download…via iTunes!  Sorry guys, can’t really provide a download link from this because I like the band…XD

So, until the next post, dream on; fly on!  Weekend, here I come!!!!

You got a price tag hanging on the back of your dress,
You got your shoes undone and your hair is a mess,
But no one sees you like I do

You roll the windows down when it’s starting to rain, yeah,
Everybody else might think you’re insane,
But no one sees you like I do

Cause the little things don’t mean much to me
My girl, I’d cross the whole world for someone like you
Oh oh, no matter where I go, oh oh,
My unpredictable girl, you’re impossible girl,
You know that it’s true, oh oh, no matter what you do
I’d cross the world for someone like you
Someone like you; a girl like you
Someone like you

You love the sing along when you don’t know the words,
You lock your keys in your car right next to your purse, yeah,
No one sees you like I do

You only show up right out of the blue,
Then 20 minutes late, 5’s early for you, yeah,
No one sees you like I do

Cause the little things don’t mean much to me
My girl, I’d cross the whole world for someone like you
Oh oh, no matter where I go, oh oh,
My unpredictable girl, you’re impossible girl,
You know that it’s true, oh oh, no matter what you do,
I’d cross the world for someone like you

Yeah, you’re perfectly imperfect, my love
Oh, I’ll be waiting up all night because your little things, all the stupid things,
Oh, the little things, don’t mean much to me
My girl, I’d cross the whole world, for someone like you
Oh oh, no matter where I go, oh oh,
My unpredictable girl, I’d cross the whole world for someone like you
Oh oh, no matter where I go, oh oh,
My unpredictable girl, impossible girl,
You know that it’s true, oh oh, no matter what you do,
I’d cross the world for someone like you
Someone like you; a girl like you
Someone like you
I’d cross the whole world
A girl like you
Someone like you

There is nothing more that I enjoy doing than reading books and writing. I'm kind of a nerd like that, XD. I have been writing for 7 years and am the author of the YA novel "Winged: The Awakening" and "Winged: The Unraveling". Also, a YouTuber dealing with video games and gaming.
