So, I am still debating on whether I should get myself a 3DS, provided that the prices have indeed dropped on some of the markets in Manila (because, over here in Lucena’s Toy Kingdom, the price for a 3DS is still double the Nintendo’s suggested retail price). Sure, Megaman Legends 3 is still canceled and the only games that *may* be worth buying for the 3DS right now is the Zelda and the Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclock games (am a fan of both series), but there seems to be a good enough line-up for the 3DS, particular the Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney, Tales of Abyss, and Resident Evil: Revalations–a game that has been, well, revealed during the Gamescon convention in Germany.
This game is a 3DS exclusive–a game that is solely made for the Nintendo 3DS handheld and, based from the recently unveiled trailer for this 2012 game, it looks good…and it has peaked my interest particularly the last bit on the trailer and Jill’s line.
There isn’t much to go on yet with this game, but we do know that this game is set in 2005, between Resident Evil 4 and 5. It depicts the events shortly after the establishment of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), a counter-terrorism group introduced in Resident Evil 5. The story revolves around two of my favorite Resident Evil protagonists: Chris Redfiled and Jill Valentine, the protagonists of the first Resident Evil game. Chris and his partner, Jessica, have gone missing, and Jill is dispatched to a cruise ship in Europe to investigate their whereabouts. On her mission, Jill is joined by fellow BSAA operative Parker Luiciani.
However, so far, we have yet to see an actual footage of the player controlling Jill since all we have now are footages of Chris as the playable character.
So, anyways, the graphics really do look good…for a Nintendo handheld…but, yeah, no where near what we can expect from Sony’s upcoming PlayStation Vita.
