The Weekend

So, I had an awesomely loooong weekend.  My parents and I went to Manila to support my sister–and to make sure she gets to eat her lunch–while taking her CPA Board Exam.  It’s the first of two weekends, the other half of the exam would be this coming weekend.  After that, Mara would know whether she passed–which she definitely will–the said board exam on Monday, next week.

Anyways, it was a very rainy and tiring weekend.  My dad was even worried that we might get stranded should the rain fall ever so relentlessly.  After all, the streets get easily flooded in Manila during heavy downpour.  Thankfully, that didn’t happen and Mara got to answer the board exam with her absolute best–at least, I think it was her absolute best.  My mom didn’t want to ask too much question regarding her exam since she didn’t want Mara to over-think what she already had answered and panic…or something.  I don’t really know.

So, we hanged out in the mall for a couple of hours while waiting for Mara since we can’t go anywhere…and, yeah… In the mall, I managed to find the last two books (that was released the previous week).  The first was Ellen’s Seriously…I’m Kidding, which is, like, the best stress-reliever kind of book I have ever read.  Seriously, if you’re in a slump, feeling down, like the world has something against you and you just want to find a reason to smile…you should definitely read her book.  It’s amazingly and absolutely entertaining.  It’s not just funny, but it also makes sense.  Beyond the punchlines, Ellen manages to give a good (and even, at times, great) tips and life lessons.  It’s a must read, I tell ya!

I also (finally!) managed to buy Rebecca Flitzpatrick’s Silence, the third book in the hush, hush series.  I’m just on the fourth chapter so I can’t say much other than: Nora has an amnesia!  She can’t remember Patch! OMG!!

Huhnnn….what else?  Oh, yeah!  My mom and dad commended me on my “self-control” since I only bought two books while in Manila.  Little do they know that it has absolutely nothing to do with “self-control” and everything to do with the fact that I already used up my “book allowance” and I know, for a fact, that they won’t give me–or even let me borrow–money.  So, yeah…I was stuck looking at the bookstores in MoA with a sad, puppy-dog eyes.  The good news is that…well, I still have two books to read so I’m not all that ticked off.  Not to mention that we will be back this weekend.

What else?  What else?  I sound like I have a bit of sugar-high.  I don’t, though.  In case you’re wondering.

Umm…oh yeah, Vlog’s still delayed.  Reasons stand the same.  I have yet to find time to set everything up and, with how hectic the weekend had been, I wasn’t able to do anything relating to said video log.  Also, my Daniel X fanfic, Game Over has been updated.  I wasn’t able to update it this weekend for the same reason so I just updated it as early Monday morning as possible.  You can read the update by heading to this link.

The next update will, probably be, sometime this week.  Probably tomorrow…if I can manage to find time to upload it since the chapter has been written already.  So, keep your fingers crossed for that.

That’s all for now.  Expect another post soon!

Until then, dream on; fly on!

There is nothing more that I enjoy doing than reading books and writing. I'm kind of a nerd like that, XD. I have been writing for 7 years and am the author of the YA novel "Winged: The Awakening" and "Winged: The Unraveling". Also, a YouTuber dealing with video games and gaming.
