A Busy December

A Busy December

I am sooo behind schedule right now.  December does that to me every time and even more so this year since (1) we had been going back and forth from Lucena to Manila and back again because of Mara whom we visit on a weekly basis (if possible), and (2) because I have a big year waiting ahead of me.  January is almost here and I want to make sure that all my plans for the coming year will come to fruition. Of course, I would also blame my passion for reading–which had not been deterred by the holiday season and (read more…)

Shoot For The Moon!

Shoot For The Moon!

I am so dang sleepy right now, even though I managed to sleep quite early last night.  I’ve been working hard on editing and adding some effects for the film we will be presenting on our Christmas Party tomorrow so…yeah…it’s a tough job. Anyways, today’s chapter is my favorite.  It’s the chapter that I really kept to heart and the quotation used in this chapter is one that helped me when people made fun or were skeptical of my dream of one day becoming a successful, published author.  Apparently, that dream is too far-fetched for them to even think that I would (read more…)

Cornering People VS Getting Them In Your Corner

Cornering People VS Getting Them In Your Corner

Day seven of the My Little Devotional Book and it’s five days before Christmas and eleven before my birthday!  Yey! Anyways, that’s beside the point.  The point is, this chapter is a pretty good one.  And, like always, I intend to share it with you all: In both autumn and spring, geese can often be seen migrating, flying in a beautiful V-shaped formation.  Such a pattern may appear to us to be a thing of beauty.  In fact, it is aerodynamically brilliant. At certain intervals, relative to the strength of the headwind they are encountering, the lead goose–who does the most work by (read more…)

The State of A Man’s Heart…

The State of A Man’s Heart…

So, I was supposed to have already posted about our day in Enchanted Kingdom, however, thanks to Youtube being an ass and not cooperating with the videos I’m trying to upload (and, let me tell you, there are a lot of them!), that post would have to wait a little while longer.  For now, let me share with you another chapter from the Little Devotional Book. ‘Richard Cory’, perhaps Edwin Arlington Robinson’s most famous poem, is a good reminder never to judge the state of a man’s heart by the size of his wallet or the grandeur of his possessions: (read more…)

Little Daniel X: Out of Time Blunder

Little Daniel X: Out of Time Blunder

So, I made a totally, honest mistake with the previous Daniel X: Out of Time update.  Instead of uploading the first chapter after the Prologue, I ended up uploading/publishing the second chapter.  So, I had to fix that.  The chapter that was released yesterday–which was entitled ‘Gone‘–is the second chapter while the actual first chapter is ‘Troubling News‘, which can now be read by heading to this link. I’m so sorry about that mishap.  I blame it on the flu I didn’t know I had. XD Once again, Gone is the third chapter in the story.  Be sure to check the real second (read more…)

‘A Few Old Biscuits Didn’t Matter All That Much!’

‘A Few Old Biscuits Didn’t Matter All That Much!’

Day 5 already, people.  I’m still feeling under the weather.  I had a quick bout with the flu last night and my head is still throbbing that I was actually asked to get some bed rest but I refused.  I can’t get sick, especially since we are heading to Manila tomorrow to celebrate my sister’s birthday (although, her birthday is not until the 19th of the month). Anyways, day five of the My Little Devotional Book journey.  Today’s chapter is pretty good and it has one of my favorite quotes to start it off.  Here’s what this chapter says and why today’s (read more…)

Daniel X: Out of Time Chapter 2 Up, Plus New CoT FanFic!

Daniel X: Out of Time Chapter 2 Up, Plus New CoT FanFic!

So, yeah…updates on the fan fiction department are pretty slow right now.  December is a pretty busy month for me, and even more so with what’s going to happen this coming January–which, by the way, I am absolutely psyched about (can’t really divulge the details at the moment)! Anyway, I am still keeping with the schedule that I have posted on my little, online calendar with the updates so, as promised, the second chapter of my second Daniel X fanfic, Out of Time, is now up on FFN.  You can read it by heading to this link.  Not only that but I have (read more…)
