As a senior in high school, Jim batted 427 and led his team in home runs. He also quarterbacked his football team to the state semi-finals. Jim later went on pitch professionally for the New York Yankees. That’s a remarkable achievement for any athlete. But it’s an almost unbelievable one for Jim, who was born without a right hand. A little boy who had only parts of two fingers on one of his hands once came to Jim in the clubhouse after a Yankees game and said, ‘They call me crab at camp.
