Day 9: How You Live (Turn Up The Music)

Ah, that was quite a long hiatus for the second cycle of our Hundred Days of Music challenge.  But, I’m glad to finally be back to keep the ball rolling.

For our ninth day, I’ve decided to go with a song sung by Point of Grace.

This song is really beautiful, the message clear and inspiring.

We only live life once.  This song tells us that it doesn’t matter who you are, how and where you came from, or what you did.  What matters is how you live.  Do you squander away the blessings you were given?  Do you live in the past or live too far ahead in the future so much so that you fail to see the beauty in the present?  Do you spend your life trying to amount riches of the world that you fail to see how rich you are already or appreciate the simplest of things?  Do you take life for granted?  Do you live your life in regret?

What really matters in life?  This song give us a glimpse of what truly matters and reminds us that there is more to life than merely letting it carry us where it will.

I feel that this song is a great big reminder for me, personally.  And I feel that it wasn’t coincidence that I came across this song.  I hope that you guys will find inspiration with this song.  And, I hope that this song helps someone out there who is feeling down. 🙂

I hope that, when the time comes and when we look back, we will have lived our lives to the fullest and have done what we were meant to do; that we have truly lived the lives we wanted to and are thankful of the things we have been given.

Below are the lyrics to this great and inspiring song.  Dream on; Fly on!

Wake up to the sunlight with your windows open
Don’t hold in your anger or leave things unspoken
Wear your red dress
Use your good dishes
Make a big mess and make lots of wishes
Have what you want but want what you have
Hmmmmm
And don’t spend your life lookin back

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
And let it all out
Cause you won’t regret it
Lookin back from where you have been
Cause it’s not who you knew
And it’s not what you did
It’s how you lived

So go to the ball game
And go to the ballet
Go see your folks more than just on the holidays
Kiss all your children
Dance with your wife
Tell your husband you love him every night
Don’t run from the truth cause you can’t get away
Oh No…
Just face it and you’ll be okay

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
And let it all out
Cause you won’t regret it
Lookin back from where you have been
Cause it’s not who you knew
And it’s not what you did
It’s how you lived

Ohhhhh
Wherever you are and wherever you been
Now is the time to begin

To give to the needy
And pray for the grieving
Even when you don’t think that you can
Cause all that you do is bound to come back to
You
So think of your fellow men
Make peace with God but make peace with yourself
Cause in the end there’s nobody else

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
And let it all out
Cause you won’t regret it
Lookin back from where you have been
Cause it’s not who you knew
And it’s not what you did
It’s how you lived

Cause it’s not who you knew and it’s not what
You did
It’s how you lived

There is nothing more that I enjoy doing than reading books and writing. I'm kind of a nerd like that, XD. I have been writing for 7 years and am the author of the YA novel "Winged: The Awakening" and "Winged: The Unraveling". Also, a YouTuber dealing with video games and gaming.
