The Right Word

Consider the ‘infamous’ statements listed below and note as you read that they all could be corrected by changing or inserting only one word in each quote!

“Everything that can be invented has been invented.” ~ Charles H. Duell, US Patent Office director, 1899

“Who wants to hear actors talk?” ~ H. M. Warner, Warner Brothers Pictures, (c) 1927

“Sensible and responsible women do not want to vote.” ~ Grover Cleveland, 1905

“There is no likelihood man can ever tap the power of the atom.” ~ Robert Millikan, Nobel price winner in physics, 1923

“Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible.” ~ Lord Kelvin, president, Royal Society, (c) 1895

“[Babe] Ruth made a mistake when he gave up pitching.” ~ Tris Speaker, 1927

Gone with the Wind is going to be the biggest flop in Hollywood history.” ~ Gary Cooper

To be only one word off can mean a great deal of difference between telling the truth!

There is nothing more that I enjoy doing than reading books and writing. I'm kind of a nerd like that, XD. I have been writing for 7 years and am the author of the YA novel "Winged: The Awakening" and "Winged: The Unraveling". Also, a YouTuber dealing with video games and gaming.
