When Storm Generations–the most recent Naruto video game–came out, fans of the series felt that it was a bit lackluster, despite the games whopping number of characters that features most (if not all) characters from the first part of the Naruto series and the Shippuden series, not to mention those from the Kakashi Gaiden.
Storm Generations, although “good”, left a lot to be desired, especially if you have played the Ultimate Ninja Storm series. It lacked the free roam that the previous games from the series had and didn’t have the boss battles that had made Ninja Storm my favorite Naruto game franchise.
Cyber Connect and Namco Bandai, however, now aims to redeem themselves from that game with Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3.
The third installment in the Ninja Storm series will bring back the massive boss battles and will feature the most extensive character roster of any game so far in the series thereby letting fans engage with a huge number of their favorite personalities from the Naruto-verse, be they friend or foe.
The story mode will also feature thrilling adventures set in the village of Konoha. The fights will be electrifying and will be punctuated with massive scale boss battles including the match between the Fourth Hokage and Kurama, the Nine-Tails.
If that hasn’t gotten you excited enough, then maybe this trailer (albeit in Japanese) will help:
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2013.
