Ah, November…I really like this month (at least, this year) as much as I like the month of December. For one, it’s the month of awesome releases (most of which I managed to snag copies of), it’s is also the month when I first began blogging all those years ago (which reminds me, SnK is nearing its anniversary! Huzzah!). Another reason is that it’s the time when I put together my annual Christmas Wishlist.
My Christmas Wishlist is such a big help for me since it provides me of the list of things I could give myself as a Christmas and Birthday present. It also allows me to see what (books, mostly) I may have missed and makes it easier for people to know what to give me. I know, it sounds selfish but, hey, it’s Christmas and it’s become a tradition to post this thing here in my blog.
So, without delaying things further, let’s begin.
Daniel X Armageddon (James Patterson), released last October. It’s one of the books series that I enjoy reading and one of the books I’m having difficulty in finding. I can’t believe this book is so hard to come by in our local bookstores. *sigh*
Dust Lands, Book 2: Rebel Heart (Moira Young), released last October. This series is one of the most unique ones I have read, especially with how it was written. I’m missing the second book of the series and had been waiting since the release date for our local bookstore to sell a copy of it. At the moment of writing this post, it’s still unavailable over here.
Matched, Book 3: Reached (Ally Condie), will be released on November 13. The final book in the trilogy. I really love this series. Hopefully they will sell a copy of it at our local bookstore…otherwise…well, I don’t know when I’ll be able to get a copy.
Meridian, Book 2: Wildcat Fireflies and Book 3: Speed of Light (Amber Kizer), Holy Croquettes! I did not know that these books were already out! Dang! Like every other book in this list, they’re unavailable here at our local bookstore which is why they flew under my “book radar”. Both of them are on my “high priority books”.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Book 2: Days of Blood and Starlight (Laini Taylor), released a week ago (November). I actually forgot this book’s release date and was surprised when Amazon notified me that it was already available. Like the rest of the books listed here, I’m still waiting for this to be sold on our local bookstore. *sigh*
Endlessly (Kiersten White). I had been trying to find this book and asking my sister if she could buy this for me with no luck. This is the last book of the Paranormalcy series.
Chronicles of Nick: Infamous (Sherrilyn Kenyon). Same as the rest of the titles here. Really, why is it so hard to get a copy of these books?!
Confessions of a Murder Suspect (James Patterson). Another book from Mr. Patterson. I’m really a fan of his writing, especially his YA books. Same problem as the rest of the books listed here…our local bookstore still has no copy of it. 🙁 Abandon & Abandon, Book 2: Underworld (Meg Cabot). Yes, I am still searching for this freaking book.
Bitterblue (Kristin Cashore). Totally forgot that this was released. Read the other books from the series and I’m missing this one, Graceling sequel.
Witches of East End, Book 2: Serpent’s Kiss (Melissa de la Cruz). I’m blaming my sister for why I still don’t have a copy of this book, lol. But, yeah…same problem with availability in our local bookstore. Really, that’s what it boils down to when I don’t have a copy yet. Frustrating, I know.
So, there’s the list of books (may or may not be a complete list) that I aim to have this Christmas. It’s quite longer than last year’s book list, that’s for sure. To make it easier (for myself, mostly), I’ve compiled a wishlist on Amazon (found here) 😀
Ah, now comes the somewhat-close-to-impossible video games list. Though, in retrospect, I did end up getting a Vita and a 3DS for my Birthday and Christmas (respectively). Anyways, I don’t have any consoles I’m pinning for right now but there are a couple of video games I’m trying to get my hands on.
Gravity Rush (Vita, US). A crazy puzzle game that I played the demo of and fell in love with but have yet to actually grab a copy of. Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation (Vita, US). It’s Assassin’s Creed. Of course, I’d want a copy of this game for my Vita. Plus, it features a female assassin…so, heck yeah! Assassin’s Creed 3 (PS3). Third installment of the amazing game franchise from UBISoft. This one’s for the PS3. I’m not the only one who’s going to be playing this game at home, though. I’m pretty sure my dad and my sister would as well.
New Little King’s Story (Vita, US). It’s a cute little game. Didn’t play the “old” Little King’s Story but…yeah..
I also would like to add a PSN (US) card to the list, since…well, there are a couple of digital downloads that I’d want to grab for myself (Doctor Who, anyone) that I could only do so using a PSN card (not planning on connecting a CC on to my PSN account, not after the infamous hack).
I’m still wishing for a Graphics Tablet and a bookshelf (two of the things on last year’s wishlist). Also, a Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver would be nice (yes, I am a Whovian)…and a new pair of boots (which is hard to come by…at least, boots that don’t have freakishly high heels).
I totally forgot about this but I’m also trying to get my hands on an Appa (The Last Airbender) stuffed toy. Trouble is, they don’t ship it (and by ‘they’ I mean the Nickelodeon shop) here so I can’t get it myself.
So, yeah…the list got longer because of the books I’m missing in my collection.
Anyways, there you have it. My 2012 Christmas-slash-Birthday wishlist…I’m not sure if I forgot anything (if I did, be sure to expect an update of this post XD).
Of course, I do know the real reason for this season. It’s about remembering the birth of the savior and preparing our way for the coming of the Lord. It’s about family, love, friendship, and the hope that the season brings. It’s a season that is meant to bring joy and laughter.
Having said that, one can’t really stop one’s self from posting something like this.
Well, that’s that. Until the next post, dream on; fly on!
