The countdown has begun. Firecrackers are firing off one after another, lit by daredevils disregarding government safety warnings. Loud music is blaring all around, courtesy of families (mine included) who would rather not make use of the air pollutants: firecrackers and fireworks. It is the final moments of 2015.
2015 has been a blast filled with all sorts of adventures and blessings that I did not expect but very much am thankful for. I met people I am happy to now call my friends, and some who I am glad to part ways with. I met people who had an infuriatingly stupid way of viewing how charity works (believing that doing any works of charity is meant to boost the popularity of the giver rather than for the sake of actually giving and helping others…it was a very WTF? moment).
2015 is also the year I began a new endeavor in the form of my YouTube Channel. It was also the year I competed and became part of the Winner’s Circle in a worldwide writing competition for the fifth consecutive year. I was also part of the historical, record-breaking event hosted by longest noontime show Eat Bulaga!, “Ang Tamang Panahon”, which was quite memorable in more ways than one.
There were so many things God has blessed me with during 2015. So many things to be thankful for, including the lessons learned and experience I have earned. And though there might be things I did not manage to get, wishes left unfulfilled, I say “goodbye” and “thank you” to this year with heart filled with love, faith, and hope that 2016 will be even more filled with blessings and love, grace and mercy, that only God could give.
Have a blessed new year, everyone! Dream on; Fly on!
